Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-05-08
These terms govern the use of the Gridda mobile application (the "Application"), published on Google Play by Jan Kubovy (the "Service Provider"), an individual developer based in the Czech Republic. By installing or using the Application you agree to these terms.
Gridda is a puzzle game suitable for users of all ages. Parents and guardians with questions about the Application are welcome to contact the Service Provider at gridda@kubovy.net.
LicenseThe Service Provider grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Application on devices you own or control, in accordance with the Google Play Terms of Service. Your relationship for the purpose of acquiring the Application is with Google; the Service Provider supplies the Application through Google Play.
You may not redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Application. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble it, except to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law (for example, mandatory rights granted by EU Directive 2009/24/EC on the legal protection of computer programs).
All trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual property rights related to the Application remain the property of the Service Provider.
Pricing and refundsGridda is a paid application with a one-time purchase price displayed on Google Play. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases. Refunds are handled by Google Play under their refund policy.
UpdatesThe Service Provider may release updates to the Application via Google Play to add features, fix bugs, or maintain compatibility with newer versions of Android. You may install updates through Google Play; the Service Provider does not require you to do so, but older versions may stop working over time.
The Service Provider may, at any time, discontinue distribution of the Application. Upon discontinuation, the license granted to you to use any copy you have already installed continues to apply, subject to these terms.
Acceptable useYou are responsible for the security of your device, including for not jailbreaking or rooting it in ways that may compromise the Application's correct operation. The Service Provider cannot be held responsible if the Application fails on a device that has been modified outside the manufacturer's intended use.
Google Play Games featuresGridda integrates Google Play Games Services to provide cloud save, leaderboards, and achievements. The Play Games SDK prompts you to sign in at first launch; you may accept or decline. If you decline, the Application continues to work as a single-player game without these features. The data flows that occur if you sign in are described in the Privacy Policy.
Sign-out and disconnection are handled through Google (Play Games Settings on your device, or your Google Account permissions page) — Play Games SDK v2 does not expose an in-app sign-out. Use of these features is subject to Google's terms (see below). The Service Provider does not control Google's services and is not liable for outages, score resets, leaderboard moderation decisions, or data losses caused by Google or by your own device or account changes.
Third-party servicesThe Application is distributed through Google Play and uses Firebase Crashlytics for anonymous crash diagnostics, plus Google Play Games Services for the features above (see the Privacy Policy). These third-party services have their own terms:
Disclaimer and limitation of liabilityThe Application is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, except where such warranties cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service Provider is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Application. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under Czech or EU law.
Governing lawThese terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Disputes arising from these terms or from your use of the Application shall be resolved by the competent courts of the Czech Republic, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules that grant you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
ChangesThe Service Provider may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent change. Continued use of the Application after a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
